Associate Program Manager - Combined Federal Campaign (CFC)

The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is a federal tradition and the official workplace giving campaign (WPG) for Federal employees and retirees. Since its inception in 1961, the CFC has raised nearly $8.7 billion for charities and people in need and is considered one of the largest and most successful WPG campaigns in the world.  Through the CFC, members of the Federal community go beyond their call to public service by contributing to the thousands of charities that work to improve the quality of life for all. The Position and Its Qualifications 

 

The Department of Defense Associate Program Manager I (DoD APM I) is the public facing staff person responsible for managing the implementation of the Combined Federal Campaign for the Department of Defense campaign. The APM I will work under the direction of the Senior Program Manager while engaging with the DoD assigned Service Department, Agency, CoCom, and Campaign Managers and their leadership to achieve campaign goals.  The APM I is responsible for the management of account activities, to include volunteer program management, special projects as assigned, implementing and innovating strategies and tactics to ensure achievement of fundraising goals, and meeting all assigned contract deliverables.  This position requires the qualified candidate to be a self-starter who can multi-task in a fast-paced environment, work strategically and in close collaboration with other teams, and local zone staff across multiple zones.

You have the ability to:

  • Support the Program Manager’s efforts to assist the LFCC in the identification, recruitment, training, support, motivation, and ongoing management of campaign workers including LFCC members, Loaned Executives, Campaign Managers, and Keyworkers virtually and in person, as appropriate.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of installation-level campaign plans to include strategies to increase DoD participation and overall giving. Plans should include social media, publicity, large scale campaign events, training sessions, recognition programs, leadership development, and ongoing communications.
  • Assist Program Manager with the implementation of approved annual marketing and social media plan.
  • Supporting community engagement activities such as contests and partnerships.
  • Prepare and provide accurate and timely campaign metrics and reports as requested.
  • Prepare and provide weekly pledge and volunteer status reports by-installation or Agency to Campaign Managers during campaign period and as directed by Program Manager
  • Assist in conducting after action review (AAR) and feedback collection for performance evaluation.

You have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of professional experience, experience working in the nonprofit, federal service, project management, fundraising, sales, and/or training. Experience supervising volunteers a plus.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States for more than one year. Visa sponsorship is not available.

The hourly range for this role is $24-$25 per hour, depending on the role filled and the experience you bring. On top of the hourly rate, you’ll receive 16 days of PTO that is prorated from your start date along with 9 paid holidays. We provide an excellent benefits plan including parental leave, medical, dental, short-term, and long-term disability, and a robust 401K program. This is a fully remote position that is seasonal, starting work on July 1st through February 15th.
