The
House of Delegates is one of the two houses of the Palau National Congress of
the Republic of Palau. The House Legal Counsel’s Office advises the sixteen
delegates on all issues of national and international law and policy. Palau’s
legal system is based on the United States’ legal system and integrates Palauan
statutory, traditional and customary law with U.S. and international legal
principles. English and Palauan are the official languages.
