About the Center for Social Entrepreneurship: Miami University's Center for Social Entrepreneurship is an internationally-recognized academic program advancing the teaching, research, and practice of social entrepreneurship around the world. Founded in 2006, the Center has received numerous awards and distinctions, including two ASHOKA Innovation Awards, "Best Social Entrepreneurship Program" by GCEC (the Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers), and features in TIME, The Boston Globe, BusinessWeek, and others.
