FutureSense Foundation (FSF) is a small international development charity that works mainly in rural areas to support disadvantaged and marginalized communities around the world, to help them build a brighter future. We currently have permanent hubs and operate programmes across 6 countries where we support local partner schools, communities and health centers through a grassroots community development approach. Our work aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and is focused on long-term and sustainable community development through three core programme areas; Education, Health & Livelihoods. 

Through our long-term programmes in Education, Health and Livelihoods, we offer opportunities for international project participants to work alongside our hub teams to contribute to our in-country development work. Our project participants mainly include UK and Australia based university and college students aged 15 and above that come to FutureSense Foundation through GapGuru and Challenges Abroad, who work with the participants and education partners, offering gap year and service-learning opportunities for students to develop as Global Citizens and future leaders. 

We are now looking for a passionate full time (40h/week) Programme Delivery Lead to join our team in our hub in El Valle, Panama. As the Programme Delivery Lead for our Health programme, you will report to the Country Operations Manager, working to ensure effective programme development and delivery in the local community. You will develop, plan, coordinate, deliver and monitor and evaluate our Health programmes to meet local community needs and to ensure the programmes are of high quality, and upholding our model and ethos. 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES 

 Efficient and Effective Programme Development, Planning, Coordination & Delivery: 

  1. Ensure all programmes and project activities are based on a needs assessment and a strategic programme delivery plan with set objectives and indicators as part of a set monitoring & evaluation framework. 
  2. Proactively liaise with partners, communities and other stakeholders to ensure the effective operational planning and delivery of programmes based on community needs. 
  3. Strategically develop, plan, coordinate and implement programme delivery to ensure growth and effective, high quality and impactful programmes. 
  4. Effectively manage and coordinate all programme delivery resources, including finances, physical resources and materials and time and effort of project participants. 
  5. Support all foundation representatives and project participants to ensure effective and impactful programmes. 
  6. Ensure  that those delivering programmes and engaging in project activities in your hub are well trained and appropriately supported. 
  7. Ensure alignment among all stakeholders to ensure FutureSense vision, mission and programme objectives, model and ethos are understood and actively worked towards. 
  8. Ensure the programmes and project activities demonstrate and maintain good programme delivery standards and ethical practices.  
  9. Ensure all programmes and projects are effectively monitored, evaluated and reported on to stakeholders.  
  10. Upholding strong safeguarding practices at all times, including during all programme delivery. 

Networking & Fundraising 

  1. Uphold strong relationships with partners, local authorities and ministries to ensure positive and productive working relations for the foundation and our programmes. 
  2. Uphold strong and collaborative relationships with partners, local board members and community stakeholders. 
  3. Network and liaise with the wider community to uphold and build a positive image of the foundation and our programmes. 
  4. Ensure the hub is providing the marketing and fundraising team with timely marketing and fundraising content and reports of programme delivery.  
  5. Identify and propose local fundraising opportunities where possible. 

Management & Leadership 

  1. You are to provide guidance, support and ensure alignment in vision for our programmes and project activities for all our representatives and project participants. 
  2. You are to uphold an environment where curiosity and creativity / innovation is promoted, where empathy and diversity is key, energy and passion is harnessed, and integrity is upheld at all times. 
  3. Ensure all team members, representatives and project participants are provided with ongoing and appropriate training to perform their role with high quality. 
  4. Collaborate closely and effectively with other FutureSense representatives to ensure effective programme delivery, administration, and other operations. 
  5. Maintain a positive and professional atmosphere at all times, using appropriate communication tools and forms for your position. 

Required Qualifications & Experience 

  • Fluent English (written and spoken) 
  • Master’s degree or a minimum of 3 years of professional work experience  
  • Experience with monitoring and evaluation practices within non-formal education and/or health  
  • Experience in education, youth work or community development  
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Experience living and working abroad and/or with people from different cultures  

Required Skills & Competences 

  • Understanding public health challenges, principles and practices in the local community 
  • Ability to design and implement community based health programmes  (health checks & promotion) 
  • Strong communication skills; including reporting and public speaking skills 
  • Strong networking and relationship management skills 
  • Good cultural intelligence and cross-cultural awareness 
  • Ability to adapt, adjust and implement projects while developing plans for the future

All new positions are subject to a 3-month probationary period
