About CAL and the IT Administrator Position
The Center for Appellate Litigation (CAL) seeks to hire an IT Administrator for its New York City office. CAL is non-profit public defense law firm dedicated to fighting injustice through exceptional advocacy and enduring compassion for every client. We represent indigent New Yorkers convicted of crimes in Manhattan and the Bronx in their criminal appeals and other post-conviction proceedings.
The IT Administrator will manage all technology at CAL. Experience in systems administration functions with a focus on Windows Servers and Active Directory, Office 365, VMware, Cisco Adaptive Security Appliances with FirePOWER Services , AnyConnect VPN, Duo, Trend Micro virus protection and security products, Avaya IP Office, SQL, and Microsoft Azure is critical for success in this role.

Salary
Salary will be commensurate with experience. Starting salary for a candidate with these minimum qualifications would be $75,000, and up to $95,000 for those with at least 10 years of significant relevant experience, and potentially more for those with extensive, comprehensive, targeted experience. Excellent benefits as designated in the Collective Bargaining Agreement, including an employer SEP-IRA pension contribution, and a free healthcare option with additional employer HSA contributions, are provided.
Location
The position is based at CAL’s New York City office in the Financial District. This is an in-office position as it requires regular hands-on troubleshooting of hardware and support for CAL’s highly collegial staff in the office. Pursuant to CAL’s collective bargaining agreement, the IT Administrator receives four telecommuting days per month.
