Cascades West Innovation Hub Partnership Manager
Location: Cascades West Region (Linn, Benton, Lane, and Lincoln Counties, OR) (Hybrid – mix of in-person and remote work)
Position Type: Part Time (24 hrs/week)
Salary: $54,000 annually plus benefits

About the Cascades West Innovation Hub
The Cascades West Innovation Hub is a regional initiative led by the Regional Accelerator & Innovation Network (RAIN) and funded by Business Oregon. The Hub connects entrepreneurs, universities, investors, service providers, and community partners to grow innovation-driven businesses in the four-county Cascades West region. Our mission is to strengthen the innovation ecosystem, expand access to resources, and foster inclusive economic opportunity across the region.
About the Role
The Innovation Hub Partnership Manager (IHPM) will be employed by RAIN to serve as a connector and organizer for the Cascades West Innovation Hub, working with partners including nonprofit organizations, professional service providers, universities, government partners, and investors to ensure they have the knowledge, skills, and connections they need to support innovation-based and traded sector businesses. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships, managing projects, and helping innovation ecosystems thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage relationships with ecosystem partners (universities, service providers, nonprofits, government, investors).
- Provide training and resources to organizations and service providers supporting innovation-based and traded sector entrepreneurs.
- Advise Hub Leadership on Hub network needs, challenges, and opportunities.
- Ensure culturally responsive engagement, with a focus on Spanish-language support (Spanish language proficiency is helpful but not required).
- Partner on marketing, communications, and event planning and promotion.
- Engage with leadership from other Hubs to share best practices and create partnerships.
- Track Hub network membership and engagement using CRM.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in partnership management, innovation & entrepreneurship support, or economic development.
- Excellent networking skills, preferably including existing connections to organizations in the Cascades West region.
- Strong project management skills, including proficiency with CRM systems.
- Knowledge of entrepreneurship, innovation ecosystems, and access-to-capital resources.
- Ability to travel to in-person meetings and events around the four-county region and access to reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement included).
