Position Title: Fundraising Database Specialist

Salary Range: $60-65,000
Position Summary:
The Fundraising Database Specialist is responsible for data and system management in support of the revenue functions of the organization. This position serves as a partner to leaders across the organization, providing clear and accurate reports and data sets that generate effective management of the revenue function.
Duties & Responsibilities:
● Manage the organization’s donor database, ensuring the structure of campaigns, funds, and appeals as well as constituent records, align with fundraising operations and financial management requirements
● Ensure alignment between the fundraising database and financial management package, equipping the organization to easily reconcile revenues.
● Leads monthly reconciliation with Finance.
● Train and support fundraising staff on utilization of the database and standards of effective data management
● Generate analytics, reports, queries, and lists for the use of the department and organizational leaders in both donor engagement and staff management
● Support effective prospect research, wealth screening, and donor segmentation within the database
● Serve as the primary contact for the database vendor, ensuring any issues with the service are resolved
● Perform regular audits to ensure information on donors and prospective donors is accurate and up-to-date
● Identify user profile gaps (email but no mailing address, phone number but no email, etc.) and inform appropriate fundraising staff for potential touchpoints
● Evaluate and uphold the integrity and reliability of database
● Conduct vetting on individuals and organizations, using OFAC and SAM databases, to ensure compliance with US regulations
● Create and manages department invoices and payment requests
● Process donor acknowledgements
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, data science, or similar concentration; 4 years experience in lieu of degree
● 3+ years of experience in database management
● 2+ years experience with nonprofit fundraising databases; experience with EveryAction required
● SQL or similar experience with database querying languages
● Strong attention to detail
● Demonstrated knowledge of data management principles and practices
● Experience generating standard and custom reports
● Advanced knowledge of Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel
● Demonstrated ability to pull, organize, and present easily consumable data for internal and external stakeholders
