About the Operations Coordinator Role: 

The Operations Coordinator will assist with day-to-day operations at BRIC House, overseeing office inventory, greeting visitors and assisting with administrative tasks. This role will also assist with on-site events and programming. 


What You’ll Do in the Role:

The Operations Coordinator will be responsible for the following in addition to any other projects or responsibilities as assigned by their manager, the Director of Operations. 

Welcome Desk and Office Management 

  • In conjunction with the Director of Operations, work with Part-Time Greeter Staff of BRIC House to ensure a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. This includes covering shifts at the welcome desk each week. 
  • Order and organize office supplies including taking weekly inventory and placing special orders as needed. 
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail. This includes managing the postage meter account, distributing incoming mail and scheduling deliveries and pickups as needed. 
  • Maintain all office equipment and shared administrative spaces.


Operations Team Administrative Support

  • Maintain BRIC’s Operations Department tools and documentation including Event Trackers, Inventory, Contact Sheets, and Building Access logs. Support Operations team in the creation and maintenance of reports.
  • Assist Operations team with scheduling meetings and vendor visits. 
  • Work with BRIC staff and Director of Operations to fill staff space booking requests.
  • Draft departmental correspondences about facility updates, procedures and policies. 
  • Submit and track invoices as well as reconcile departmental credit card. Liaise with the finance team as needed.
  • Work with the People and Culture team on shared administrative projects and documentation around BRIC wide policies, venues and information. 
  • Shared administrative support for other departments as needed and assigned by the manager.

  • Experience & Qualifications: 
  • Minimum one year of arts administration experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills in addition to exceptional written and verbal communication skills. 
  • An excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suites.
  • Commitment to Equity & Inclusion: Brings experience operationalizing equity within event production and setting an equity and justice rooted strategy for staffing and team management.

  • Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is $45 - $50K.
  • Status and location: This is a full-time, exempt role based in our Brooklyn office. This role is fully in-person.
