Cascade Bicycle Club is seeking to hire a Bicycle Mechanic and Assembler. The Bicycle Mechanic and Assembler will serve this dynamic, well-established, and respected organization by demonstrating a passion for bicycling and for growing the influence and impact in pursuing the organization’s mission.
Who We Are/What We Do
Cascade Bicycle Club, the nation's largest statewide bicycle nonprofit, is 10,000-members, 54-years old, and 39-staff strong, serving bike riders of all ages and abilities throughout the state of Washington. We teach the joys of bicycling, advocate for safe places to ride, and produce community rides and events. Our signature programs include the Seattle to Portland ride, the Pedaling Relief Project, advocacy for connected trail networks and on-street bike networks in Seattle and across the Puget Sound Region, Your Streets Your Say, Free Group Rides, Adult Classes, Let's Go, and the Major Taylor Project.
Washington Bikes promotes the health, safety, environmental, and economic benefits of bicycling. We advocate for people who bike, endorse political candidates, and hold officials accountable. We collaborate with community members and public officials to shape policies and investments in active transportation that create equitable, sustainable, and thriving communities across Washington state.
DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:
Cascade’s education efforts encourage people to become lifelong riders by reaching them at all stages of life. Our education programming aims to be inclusive of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds, and reaches diverse communities throughout the state.

The Education Department consists of three distinct teams:
The Bicycle Mechanic and Assembler will support Cascade in the acquisition, assembly, maintenance and distribution of bicycle and trailer fleets for the Program Team and Statewide Team.

Job Details
This position is part-time, hourly, non-exempt, temporary/seasonal position and will take place in-person. The Bicycle Mechanic and Assembler is a very hands-on position, with a mix of bicycle repair work, and assembly duties. This position will routinely work 25 hours per week. This position will include occasional deliveries of bike fleets across the state. These deliveries will involve long work hours and/or overnight travel.
