Position Description – Bookstore/Giftshop Manager
Summary: Join our team at the National Defense University Foundation Store! We're looking for a friendly Gift Shop Manager to provide exceptional customer service in our store. You’ll engage with diverse clientele from around the world while supporting the National Defense University. This position offers a flexible schedule with no holidays or weekends. Background check required.
The Manager is responsible for maintaining and operating all gift shop related functions under the guidance of the CEO and President. Responsibilities include completing Point of Sale reports, maintaining & tracking inventory requests, monthly inventory counts, placing orders of merchandise, performing market research for new items, and implementing sale campaigns . Of note, Gift Shop Manager working at the gift shop may be the first exposure a student, faculty or guest has had to the NDUF. Engaging positively presents an opportunity to promote the Foundation and to be of service to NDU.
