    Position Information

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    We are seeking a technically skilled, business-savvy Web App Solutions Engineer to lead the delivery of major customer-facing comprehensive web portal solutions, including highly automated and intuitive end user interfaces and multiple integrations to manage reverse logistics. The ideal candidate will:

    • Serve as the technical lead and primary liaison between internal stakeholders and a team of internal and external developers.
    • Drive solution design and hands-on prototyping for complex web applications, ensuring business requirements are delivered as part of a comprehensive, scalable solution.
    • Ensure project alignment with business objectives, technical standards, and customer needs.
    • Contribute directly to development tasks, especially in PHP, React, JavaScript and JSON Forms.
    • Facilitate communication, documentation, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle. 

    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Duties and responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:

    • Technical Leadership: Guide external development teams, review technical specifications, and ensure best practices in web architecture and implementation.
    • Requirements Analysis: Gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements for web solutions.
    • Project Coordination: Work with the PMO team to manage project timelines, deliverables, and communications between internal and external teams.
    • Hands-On Development: Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP, React, JavaScript and JSON Forms. Support prototyping and minor enhancements as needed.
    • Integration: Oversee integration of web applications with APIs, cloud services (Azure), and Power Platform services such as Power BI. 
    • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA and internal resources to ensure solutions meet business needs and quality standards.
    • Documentation: Maintain clear, organized documentation for requirements, processes, and project status.
    • Continuous Improvement: Participate in retrospectives and drive initiatives for process optimization and team collaboration.
    • Other Duties: Support IT development practices and organizational initiatives as assigned.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, plus 5+ years’ experience as a Full Stack Web Developer, or similar technical roles; OR 7+ years of equivalent work experience.
    • 3+ years’ experience in logistics/supply chain process engineering and/or building logistics technology solutions. 
    • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing external vendor relationships.
    • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States for Call2Recycle Stewardship, Inc., with or without sponsorship. 

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing external vendor relationships.
    • Hands-on proficiency in PHP, React (or similar modern frameworks), JavaScript, and JSON Forms for building customizable form interfaces. 
    • Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, RESTful APIs, and cloud architecture (Azure preferred).
    • Familiarity with backend technologies (e.g. Node.js, Python, PHP) and RESTful APIs.
    • Experience in modern IDEs ideally Visual Studio or VS Code.
    • Experience with Microsoft DevOps preferred.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
    • A strong interest in and able to flourish in a mission-based organization where culture and values are paramount in importance.

    KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

    • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
    • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
    • Familiarity with Power BI dashboards, Liquid Templates, and Microsoft Dynamics Business Central ERP/D365CRM is a plus.
    • General understanding of reverse logistics, the recycling industry, and supply chain software solutions.
