    Descrição

    The Marshall Legacy Institute (MLI) is seeking five enthusiastic and dedicated Leadership Coaches to participate in a 7-month global leadership program. In this role, each Coach will mentor and support 10 emerging leaders (ages 25-45) from around the world as they design and implement projects using intercultural dialogue as a tool to address migration challenges in their communities. Coaches will provide ongoing mentorship as their cohort of emerging leaders employs tools, financial grants, and skills learned through the program to successfully implement their projects and drive meaningful impact in their communities. All coaching will be conducted virtually.

    Through this program, participating Coaches will strengthen their skills in intercultural dialogue and gain meaningful mentorship experience by guiding young leaders from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds. In addition, they will become part of a global network of 50 young changemakers and leading experts in intercultural dialogue, creating opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and long-term professional connections.

    Responsibilities

    • Training: Participate in a comprehensive training delivered by the MLI team (October 2025)
    • Peer-exchange sessions: Facilitate 9 sessions with their cohort to provide tailored guidance on project management, encourage sharing of lessons learned, best practices, and discussion of successes and challenges. These sessions will be interspersed with MLI-led sessions for all participants, and the coaches will be able to reflect on the MLI-led sessions during their own sessions.
    • One-on-One Coaching: Provide monthly individualized guidance sessions to 10 young leaders during their project implementation period (November 2025 – May 2026). During each session coaches will focus on reviewing progress against goals timelines, and budgets; identifying challenges or obstacles encountered, discussing strategies for overcoming challenges, and adjusting plans or priorities. Coaches will remain available for brief check-ins or questions between scheduled one-on-one coaching calls via email or virtual calls.
    • Documentation: Record key discussion points, agreed-upon actions, and follow-up items to be shared with the corresponding young leader.
    • Reporting: prepare key observational notes, including emerging challenges from peer-exchange sessions and one-on-one coaching sessions. and submit them as part of program monitoring.
    • Environment: Foster a safe and inclusive environment that ensures youth voices are heard and valued.
    • Communication: Maintain regular communication with MLI staff to promote transparency and engagement with project status.
    • Evaluation: Assist in the evaluation of overall program effectiveness and provide feedback to support continuous improvement.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in education, social sciences, international development, leadership, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
    • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in implementing community-based projects, or demonstrated expertise in youth development, civic engagement, and/or intercultural dialogue.
    • Proven ability to support project planning and implementation, including monitoring progress against goals, budgets and timelines, identifying challenges, and helping adjust strategies as needed.
    • Strong facilitation skills, with experience fostering intercultural dialogue and creating safe, inclusive learning environments.
    • Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse groups of young people.
    • Strong organizational and documentation skills, including the ability to submit clear observational notes and progress updates.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with digital communication platforms and tools.
    • Basic knowledge of data management tools for tracking participant engagement and program outcomes.
    • Fluency in English (spoken and written) required.
    • Proficiency in other languages preferred.
