About New Politics Leadership Academy:

New Politics Leadership Academy (NPLA),  a nonpartisan non-profit organization, was founded in 2016 to transform government by recruiting and developing servant leaders with the highest caliber of integrity, courage, and empathy. At a time when the number of service veterans in elected office is at an all-time low, NPLA is working to help servant leaders overcome the traditional barriers to entering the political arena. Through leadership development experiences, educational programming, and networking events, we're building a new pipeline into politics for Americans who have served our communities and country and who feel called to continue their service by jumping into the political arena.

New Politics Leadership Academy seeks a full time team member to conduct, organize, and assist with all recruitment team functions and own several key projects. The position sits on the recruitment team and reports to the director of servant leader recruitment. 

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment team in recruitment operations including but not limited to email communications, outreach, tracking, reporting, project management, managing vendors, and event coordination.
• Provide project management, research, and tactical/administrative support to outreach and programming in the state of GA in accordance with a multi-year grant agreement.
• Track and report recruitment data and trends for internal teams
• Draft and edit select internal and external communications
• Collaborate with communications team on recruitment marketing graphics and social media
• Collaborate with Programs Team on processing participant applications, communications, review, and follow-ups as needed
• Collaborate with Platform Manager on Salesforce hygiene and innovations for the team
• Collaborate with fundraising team on reporting activities and framing impact
• Represent Recruitment in select virtual and in-person convenings annually, arranging logistics and speaking comfortably about our work
• Build and steward community within and among NPLA’s priority audiences
• Cold and warm outreach and relationship building
• Track and adhere to budgets
• Research organizations with which NPLA can build meaningful connections in GA including colleges, universities, and trade schools and define target audiences within the school in GA and nationwide.

Qualifications and Attributes

• 2-5 year work experience in nonprofit, higher education, recruitment, community organizing, and/or or political environments
• Energized by building new relationships from the ground up, talking with strangers, pitching, outreach, and able to do so independently
• Demonstrated ability to lead virtual and in-person event planning and execution
• Comfort with domestic travel
• Experience with data collection and entry
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Organized and motivated
• Dedication to American democracy 
• Mission-driven; mission-focused
• Comfortable with performance metrics and data-informed decisions
• Comfortable working on a small, nimble team; no task is too big or too small
• Able to work with diverse populations and foster inclusive recruitment practices

Salary and Benefits

New Politics Leadership Academy offers generous health benefits, group life insurance, FSA and Dependent FSA, flexible vacation policy, professional coaching, professional development opportunities, a 401K match, and competitive paid family/medical leave. Starting salary for this role is $72,000 and commensurate with experience.

This is a remote position with required travel to several organization-wide and training events per year. Some evening and weekend work will be required as job duties and planned programming demand. The selected candidate will live in the southeast US, GA preferred.
