Campaign Jobs to Protect the Environment

Work to save the bees in our canvassing and field manager positions.

Almost a quarter of bumblebee species are at risk of going extinct, and pesticides called neonics are a big reason why. Companies are now coating seeds with these deadly pesticides, meaning they grow in the plant and contaminate the soil. One neonic-coated seed is enough to kill 80,000 bees.

In order to stop these seeds from being coated in bee-killing pesticides, we need strong public support. We are hiring canvassers and field managers in our Washington, D.C. office to educate the public about the issue, raise critical funds, and generate the visibility necessary to influence decision-makers.

As a canvasser you will:

• Educate and engage citizens on a campaign to make real change on pressing environmental and public interest issues
• Develop essential communication and political advocacy skills
• Build membership and raise money for nonprofit groups in your community
• Earn leadership opportunities, supervising and managing staff in the field
• Gain the experience and connections needed to launch your career in nonprofit and policy work

At Fund for the Public Interest, we are seeking hard-working individuals with good communication skills and a passion for social change to fill citizen outreach and field manager positions. We are hiring full-time and part-time staff and have leadership opportunities available.
