    Reports to: Associate Director of National Health Workforce Collaborative

    Status: Full Time / Non-Exempt

    Location: 100% Remote

    The Association of Clinicians for the Underserved (ACU) is adding to its team! ACU is an organization filled with mission-driven people committed to improving the health of America’s underserved populations and supporting the clinicians serving these populations. We are looking for someone equally committed to that cause who can help support the National Health Workforce Collaborative.

    The Project and Training Specialist will aid in the development and implementation of stakeholder engagement activities, training events and educational materials relating to the creation and facilitation of a National Health Workforce Collaborative. The Collaborative is a project of the Bureau of Health Workforce (BHW) and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and facilitated through our partners at Abt Global. The Collaborative works to improve communication and outreach, stakeholder engagement, amplify impact and enhance workforce recruitment and retention at community-based training sites, especially in areas of workforce experiencing shortages.

    The ideal candidate is highly organized, proficient in time management, and possesses excellent interpersonal communication skills. The ideal candidate has experience in curriculum design, adult learning and training/resource development, virtual event management, and workforce matters such as health professions education and training (HP-ET) and recruitment and retention in rural and underserved areas.

    Duties and Responsibilities

      • Assist with the development of a training and technical assistance plan focused on resources for health professions education and training HP-ET programs at community-based training sites in rural and underserved areas.
      • Assist with the planning, development, and execution of workshops, webinars, audio series, and other educational materials and events.
      • Communicate and coordinate with applicable subject matter experts including HRSA staff, grantees, and other key stakeholders to support the development of workshops, webinars, and other educational materials and events.
      • Support the planning, logistics, and facilitation of multiple stakeholder engagement activities and convenings throughout the grant period.
      • Assist with the planning, logistics, development, and execution of annual in-person stakeholder engagement events and convenings including agenda setting, material creation, coordination of applicable subject matter experts, and note taking.
      • Assist with the maintenance of a website to collect all related project resources.
      • Perform additional duties, as needed.

    Qualifications for Position

      • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. Substantial professional employment experience may be substituted for a degree.
      • Minimum 2 years of professional experience providing virtual and online trainings and facilitating stakeholder engagement meetings within the healthcare sector.
      • Minimum 2 years of professional experience designing educational materials for adult learners within the healthcare or nonprofit sector.
      • Minimum 2 years of professional experience working with federally qualified health centers is highly preferred.
      • Professional experience supporting the health professions pathway and a variety of health professions education and training (HP-ET) programs and recruitment and retention in underserved areas.
      • Professional experience with federal, national, and state stakeholders involved with health professions education and training HP-ET programs.
      • This role requires strong communication, analytical skills, and an understanding of adult learning principles to serve as a link between company objectives and workforce development.
    • The ability to effectively communicate, present information, and lead training activities and events for groups.
    • The capacity to assess needs, analyze data, and measure the effectiveness of training programs.
    • A creative approach to developing curricula that is informative, engaging, and organized.
      • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
      • Proficiency with G-Suite programs.
      • Strong team collaboration and interpersonal skills.

    Location: ACU Headquarters is located in Washington, DC. This is a remote position. You must reside in one of the following states or districts: Washington DC, Virginia, Maryland, Florida, Massachusetts, New York, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.
