Sharing Our Roots is a 501(c)3 non-profit and 163-acre farm in Northfield, Minn., dedicated to advancing a resilient agriculture system that demonstrates the power to heal our lands, nourish our communities, and prepare emerging farmers. Our work is grounded in providing equitable land access to immigrant, BIPOC, & LGBTQ+ farmers and gardeners through affordable land sharing and community gardens.
Over the past two years, SOR has increased its personnel and acreage and expanded its programming. SOR is now seeking a Development Lead to sustain and further this growth through additional fundraising, resource development and brand awareness. The Development Lead will serve as Executive Co-Director of SOR (alongside the Operations and Finance Lead) and as a member of the Executive, Finance, and Development Committees.

Supervision:
Serve as co-supervisor to the Administrative and Grants Assistant. Hire and oversee the work of development consultants.
Work Environment: This is a hybrid remote/in-person position. Maintaining work hours reflective of office hours (Monday-Friday, 9 am - 5 pm) is preferable. SOR will provide the technology necessary to complete job duties both remotely and on-site.
Physical Demands: This is a computer/office work-based role; however, occasional physical demands could include helping with office organization and preparing for events. This requires the ability to carry 20-60 pounds.
Expected Salary: $70,720 - 74,880 (BOE)
Salaries are paid on a bi-weekly basis. All payments are subject to mandatory employment deductions (state and federal taxes, social security and Medicare).
