In 1887, John Ames Mitchell, editor of Life magazine, raised $800 to send 266 children from New York City to the Life Fresh Air Farm in Branchville, Connecticut. Since that first summer, thousands of children and teens have participated in our nature-based summer camp and after-school programs in New York and New Jersey.
Our DIRECTORS bring with them diverse skills and experiences that result in a well-rounded team. We are hiring for the leadership positions listed below.
SITE DIRECTORS take on full management of a day camp site. The sites they oversee vary in size, ranging from 4 to 10 small groups of campers with staff teams of 8 to 16 people. Site Directors provide ongoing coaching and support to staff, oversee program implementation, cultivate positive relationships with campers and families, and have full management responsible for their site.
