Location: Beautiful Guatemala — The Land of Eternal Spring
School Year: January 5th – November 6th, 2026
Are you ready for an adventure that combines professional growth, cultural discovery, and meaningful teaching? Colegio Americano del Sur (CAS) is excited to announce a full-time elementary classroom teaching position available for the 2026 school year. This position is to teach English to 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades, along with social studies.
At this level, classes are taught primarily in English and include Language Arts, Social Studies, and Reading the World — a collaborative course co-taught with the Spanish teacher. Teachers also participate in additional activities and support programs that help students strengthen their English skills in fun and creative ways.

- 1–2 years of classroom teaching experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

- An understanding of U.S. educational approaches
- Experience differentiating instruction for diverse learners
- A desire to stay current with educational research and innovation
- The ability to think creatively and “outside the box” when planning lessons
- A collaborative, flexible spirit—willing to take on new challenges when needed

You do not need to speak Spanish to apply — but you’ll have plenty of opportunities to pick up the language while you’re here!

Benefícios
Housing is provided. (One large furnished house is provided for all teachers to share. The only out-of-pocket cost is paying for cooking gas and electricity, and house cleaner. Shared)) Partial transportation is provided to and from school. (Share gas cost.)
Local Guatemalan insurance is provided to be used only while in Guatemala.
$1000 bonus is provided for transportation at the completion of the contract.
$1000 bonus is provided for completion of the contract.

1-week vacation in April for Easter break
2-week mid-year break, last week of June and first week of July
