Descrição

Earthworks is hiring a Research Fellow. The purpose of this fellowship is to provide an opportunity for candidates from historically marginalized groups and communities to gain work experience in the environmental advocacy space. Recent graduates and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.

This is a temporary position and a diversity fellowship, with an anticipated August 2024 start date. The Fellow will work full-time (40 hours per week) for four months with an opportunity for possible extension/transition to a permanent role if additional funding is secured.

Earthworks’ Energy Team and Policy Team work to expose the harm from oil and gas pollution in order to reduce the harm, stop the expansion, and spur a managed decline from oil and methane gas. The Research Fellow will work with other research, energy, communications, and philanthropy staff and will play a key role in data cleaning, coding, analysis, visualization, and report writing. Responsibilities will also include collaborative development of research-related deliverables such as talking points, one-page fact sheets, infographics, and blog posts.

This position reports to the Director of Talent and Equity and is housed on the Policy Team, where the candidate will work closely with the Research and Policy Manager.
