Poder Latinx was born out of that desire to build political power for Latinos nationwide, using innovative strategies and tools that resonated with the youth. The Poder Latinx founders led an integrated voter engagement organization where all aspects of voter engagement, issue-based campaigns, leadership development, voting reform, and narrative change form a continuous cycle of political consciousness. This consciousness equips the Latinx community to become agents of change now. And that’s precisely what they did. The initial work started in Florida, with a small staff providing voting rights information, canvassing, and voter registration, and has grown to a nationwide team in Arizona, California, Georgia, Texas, North Carolina and Washington, where we also focus on issue-based education and civic engagement. Poder Latinx Arizona currently operates in the Phoenix Metro Area
Our Core Issues are environmental justice, immigrant justice, and economic justice. These pillars represent the most urgent priorities for our community and serve as the foundation for our actions and initiatives. Even in challenging times, Poder Latinx remains steadfast, we will continue driving progress toward a Latino community that is prosperous, powerful, and protected.
Our Mission
Empowering Latinx communities to build sustained political power and actively participate in democracy. Through comprehensive voter engagement, issue advocacy, and leadership development, we create lasting change and progressive policies that reflect the needs and voices of Latinx voters to win on environmental, economic and immigration justice.
Our Vision
We envision a future where Latinx communities are empowered decision-makers in democracy, creating a united, just, and inclusive nation where everyone is safe, belongs and their voices are heard and valued.
