    About LEEP

LEEP is an impact-driven, evidence-based nonprofit that aims to eliminate childhood lead poisoning, which affects an estimated one in three children worldwide. We primarily focus on one important source of exposure: lead paint. Our paint programs involve generating data, supporting governments with the introduction and enforcement of regulation, and assisting manufacturers in switching to lead-free paints. Beyond our paint programs, we are piloting interventions to address other sources of lead exposure, such as spices and cosmetics.

Since our founding in September 2020:

    About the Role

LEEP is seeking a highly organised, mission-driven, and proactive Program Associate to support the delivery and growth of our programs. This is a dynamic, hands-on generalist role at the heart of LEEP’s work, providing essential operational, administrative, and programmatic support to help our teams achieve impact across multiple countries.

As a Program Associate, you will report to a Senior Manager, working closely with them and their team of Program Managers to accelerate and improve programmatic outcomes. Your responsibilities will be varied and meaningful: from conducting background research to inform program decisions, acting as project manager on some team initiatives, and accompanying Program Managers on field visits, to ensuring team operations–including documentation, file management, and logistics–run smoothly. You’ll also help coordinate calls and meetings with partners and stakeholders to keep communication and collaboration on track.

This is a collaborative, high-impact position, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-oriented environment. You will need to be highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage competing priorities while working independently in a remote setting. A positive, can-do attitude, curiosity, and strong communication skills will help you succeed as you support LEEP to deliver meaningful public health impact.

    Responsibilities

    • Cross-Program Strategy and Execution
      • Support the Senior Manager in annual and quarterly planning cycles: help organise kickoff calls, compile pre-reads, take first passes at reviewing program goals, and coordinate follow-ups with Program Managers to ensure goal documents, M&E files, and shared folders are complete and up to date.
      • Contribute to reporting processes by collating program updates and data for internal and external reports.
      • Take ownership of and manage certain strategic projects as delegated by the Senior Manager (e.g., coordinating with other teams, or helping advance cross-team initiatives like playbook improvements or partnerships). This will involve a mix of strategic project management and coordination skills.
      • Participate in program strategy discussions where relevant, supporting preparation and documentation of key decisions.
    • Program Delivery and Support
      • Provide day-to-day support to Program Managers in delivering country programs: assist with research (e.g., reviewing laws and regulations, summarising paint market data, or compiling stakeholder lists), draft briefs, and support planning and execution of activities.
      • Help coordinate meetings, workshops, and calls with partners and stakeholders while ensuring agendas, notes, and follow-up actions are well organised.
      • Accompany Program Managers on field visits and partner meetings, supporting logistics, note-taking, and follow-up communications.
      • Assist with the preparation of presentations, reports, and other materials for internal and external audiences.
    • Operations, Coordination, and Administration
      • Maintain organised and accessible documentation across the team, ensuring information is up to date.
      • Act as a liaison between the team and other cross-functional teams (Operations, Research, and External Relations) to manage requests and ensure timely follow-up.
      • Coordinate logistics for internal and external meetings, including scheduling, agendas, and capturing action points.
      • Contribute to knowledge-management and training efforts by helping document lessons learned, update guidance materials, and support compliance-related activities.
      • Undertake other reasonable tasks to help LEEP achieve its goals.

    • Ability to remain positive, focused, and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong organisation and planning skills; experience in project management is advantageous but not required
    • Outstanding attention to detail
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong digital literacy and confidence using tools like Google Workspace
    • Ability and willingness to work across a broad range of tasks and take initiative to solve problems for our team
    • Commitment to LEEP’s values
    • Enterprising, a quick learner, and creative problem-solver
    • Fluency/full professional proficiency in English
    • Willingness to travel for around 8 to 12 weeks a year
