    Descrição

Org Overview: Service Never Sleeps’ (SNS) vision is a world where equal rights, justice, and opportunity are available to all. We empower justice-minded individuals with the tools and posture to be effective allies, and to create equity within their spheres of influence.

SNS works towards a more socially just world through racial justice education. As part of a suite of racial justice learning opportunities the organization offers, SNS is launching a new 6-month Race Equity Fellowship program in 2026 which will engage a cohort of DMV-based participants to deepen racial justice knowledge and action.

Position Overview: SNS seeks a contract race equity practitioner skilled in training, facilitation, and coaching who will help further SNS mission by implementing its Race Equity Fellowship program. The individual will be tasked with utilizing SNS’ curriculum to guide participants in their race equity journeys through monthly cohort sessions and individual coaching. The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced race equity trainer with a commitment to racial justice, who is excited by the opportunity to educate others and help them advance equity within their respective spheres of influence. Knowledge of the equity space is required, while previous experience with advocacy, movement building, and leadership development are a plus.

This position is in-person, requiring one full day in-office each month to facilitate monthly Fellowship training sessions. All monthly training sessions will take place in the Old Town Alexandria area. Additional independent work, including participant coaching and session preparation, can be completed remotely.

Employment Term and Compensation: This role will serve on a seven (7)-month contract, beginning in March 2026 and ending September 2026, with potential for renewal the following program year. The contractor will be expected to complete expected duties of the role at approximately 30-40 hours per month at a rate of $60 per hour.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Race Equity Fellowship Program:
      1. Lead all curriculum delivery for the SNS 6-Month Race Equity Fellowship program, which engages up to a dozen participants each year.
      2. Work on logistics planning for any local leaders selected by SNS staff to present content or participate as panelists for monthly Fellowship sessions.
      3. Conduct four race equity coaching sessions with each fellow, with the intention of guiding each individual’s learning experience during the program.
      4. Maintain regular interaction with Fellows to ensure a positive program experience.
      5. Execute ongoing session evaluation, analysis, and opportunities for improvement of the Fellowship program.

    Qualifications

    • A personal and professional commitment to racial justice and reducing disparities based on race, ethnicity, immigration status, religion, gender, sexual orientation/gender identity, and socioeconomics.
    • Experience with coaching, and the ability to facilitate one-on-one race equity coaching.
    • A track record of equipping others with the knowledge, tools, and frameworks to be change agents for justice.
    • The ability to operate in an independent setting, planning and executing individual responsibilities.
    • A commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation.
    • Strong commitment to SNS’ Allyship mission and goal of shared humanity.

This position may be of interest to you if:

    • Have a passion for racial equity and educating others.
    • Are dedicated to helping others expand their perspectives to try on new, transformative ways of thinking.
