POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Brooklyn Conservatory of Music (BKCM) seeks a part-time Program Coordinator to assist our Suzuki Program Director in running our robust Suzuki program. The Suzuki Program Coordinator is largely responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative tasks of the Suzuki program. This position is essential in supporting BKCM’s Suzuki team of 26 faculty and two piano collaborators, helping create a supportive learning environment for the 240 students in our instrumental program and 35 students in our Suzuki Early Childhood Education classes. The position reports to the Director.
This hybrid position has a flexible work schedule, currently 15–20 hours per week. Occasional work days in a shared office environment may be necessary at the discretion of the Suzuki Director. BKCM has shared office space available on a flexible basis if candidates prefer to work from the office. It requires between two and four hours of weekly meetings with the Program Director and other members of the BKCM administrative team, as well as communications with parents and faculty. During the enrollment cycle in the Spring, the total number of work hours, including meetings increases, and in the summer it decreases.
The position also includes working with the Suzuki Program Director to manage faculty and parents among other additional responsibilities.

SALARY: This position’s salary range is $31-$34/hour. Changes to rates, if any, occur July 1st of any given year.
