    The Breaking Barriers Collaborative (BBC) empowers Pacific Northwest businesses to accelerate equitable climate action through hands-on programs designed for businesses ready to lead the transition to a net-zero economy. Learn more about the initiative here.

    About the Opportunity

    Climate Solutions is looking for a Program Coordinator who wants to use their superpowers of communication, project management, recruitment implementation, problem solving, and providing outstanding customer service for the BBC program. This position will contribute to the BBC’s success in multiple ways: support recruiting of participants to BBC’s growing fleet electrification programs, support outreach and external communications efforts organizing and implementing virtual and in-person events; and providing administrative and communications support to ensure programs meet their overall vision and goals.

    Success Outcomes and Priorities

    Support Implementation of BBC’s Fleet Electrification Programs (50%)

    • Works in partnership with BBC’s Program Managers to organize, host, coordinate, and facilitate in-person and virtual events; takes the lead on day-of event coordination.
    • Works with BBC Program Managers to develop and share communication with program participants.
    • Coordinates entry and exit interviews with program participants.
    • Helps Director of Outreach to create and distribute social media content, emails, and other outreach materials in alignment with BBC’s communication plan.
    • Communicates and connects with program participants and partners on BBC networking events.
    • Creates, engages, and builds communication between BBC program alumni to build a sustainable network in the BBC program.

    Supports Recruitment and Outreach for BBC Programs (25%)

    • Works in partnership with the Director of Outreach and BBC team to recruit Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and other socio-economically diverse businesses to participate in BBC programs.
    • Coordinates outreach and communications campaigns to reach potential program participants and partners
    • Organizes and coordinates participation in community in-person and virtual events in Washington and Oregon to cultivate BBC’s presence among potential participants and partner segments.
    • Collaborates with the BBC Team to identify, track and report on qualified leads for program participation and potential sponsors/donors for BBC programs.

    Database Support and Systems Building (15%)

    • Co-creates systems that are aligned with the needs of the program with the BBC Team.
    • Administers program feedback surveys to participants and shares information with the BBC team to support program adaptation and improvement.
    • Works collaboratively with the Technology team to utilize Salesforce to build, track, and report data accurately.
    • Generates invoices and other payments in collaboration with the Administration Team.
    • Builds team capacity around technology and develops standard operations procedures to streamline BBC projects.

    Travel: This is a hybrid role based either in Seattle, WA or Portland, OR, with a combination of remote and in-person meetings (2-3x week) and external partner meetings, events, and trainings, as well as frequent travel within the region to capture stories.
