Program Description
Everyone Village (E1V) is partnered with PeaceHealth to provide 10 medical
recuperation tiny homes for at-risk discharges from the Riverbend Hospital. These
clients are often homeless and have no place for proper recovery after receiving
medical care at Riverbend Hospital. PeaceHealth works with E1V to provide an
appropriate place to allow for proper care and recovery. PeaceHealth provides any
necessary medical professional care to the clients and all meals. E1V staffs the
program with two recuperation program site leads that oversee and manage program
operations, client care and services.
Recuperation Program Site Lead
The principal role of the Recuperation Program Site Lead (RSL) is to provide overall
program supervision, direct client service and serve as the primary liaison with the
PeaceHealth discharge nurse team. RSL serves a pivotal function in helping clients
recover successfully and adhere to their discharge care plan. RSLs also play an
essential role in creating an environment within the Village where recuperation clients
can feel safe, respected, and connected while they recover.
Like every member of the E1V staff team, the RSL should engage people in a respectful
and authentic way that helps to build connection and trust. This is a position in a quickly
growing village, so the RSL must be adaptable to changing circumstances and realities
and be willing to embrace new responsibilities as needed.
Some core challenges inherent in this role are the fast(er) client turnover, limited staff
capacity to meet client’s needs, as well as, frequent exits back to unsheltered
homelessness.
