Job Summary:

Little Leaf Market team members are an essential part of creating an inviting and successful community market with fresh and local, plant based foods, coffee and cold pressed juices. As a team member at Little Leaf Market, your role will primarily include: making the delicious items that we sell in our grab-and-go fridge, maintaining a clean production space, receiving deliveries, customer service, inventory and stocking our shelves as well occasionally working or preparing items for special events that could include farmers markets, community events, and onsite private catering events. We need someone who is excited to be part of something BIG, brings positive energy and a passion for ensuring everyone in our community has access to nourishing, whole foods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and occasionally lead the production of cold pressed juices and grab and go food items.
• Receive and process deliveries of fresh produce as well as shelf stable pantry items.
• Give customers enthusiastic attention and support while they shop the market.
• Ensure a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases, shelves, and displays clean and well stocked, while continuously checking and ensuring freshness and quality of products.
• Operate equipment and serve products; this includes preparing juiced and blended drinks and coffee.
• Follow market procedures to maintain supplies, backstock and coolers and to track product transfers and spoilage.
• Assist with sampling products directly to customers.
• Follow and comply with established procedures including health and sanitation, and adhere to safe work practices.
• Follow all Little Leaf Market payment handling procedures.
• Provide an exemplary model of integrity and belief in our organizational mission for customers and students from the Academy for Global Citizenship.
