Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership Development: 

  • Identify, prioritize, and develop strategic partnerships aligned with organizational goals and mission.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential partners, including corporations, foundations, government agencies, and other not for profit arts / cultural / academic / mission-driven organizations including in the arts, cultural, academic, political and research spaces, as well as the media & entertainment industry.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to assess partnership opportunities and develop tailored proposals.

Relationship Management:

  • Assist with identification of potential partnerships and help nurture existing relationships, fostering strong and collaborative relationships.
  • Negotiate partnership terms to ensure mutual benefit and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to deepen partner engagement and maximize impact.
  •  Identify and cultivate relationships with key partners across all departments

Collaboration and Integration:

  • Collaborate closely with programmatic teams to integrate partnership objectives into organizational initiatives and campaigns.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to leverage partner resources and expertise effectively.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on partnership-related activities and opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Philanthropy fundraising team to understand broader conversations and collaborations happening at the intersection of philanthropy and narrative change and to cultivate relationships with funder constituents.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and impact of strategic partnerships.
  • Regularly assess and report on partnership outcomes, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize results.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and evaluations to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business, marketing, communications, etc.)
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in partnership development, business development, or related roles, preferably within the entertainment industry or non-profit sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully establishing and managing strategic partnerships, with a focus on driving tangible outcomes and impact.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver results within deadlines.
  • Strategic thinker with a creative and innovative approach to partnership development and collaboration.
  • Passion for social impact and a deep understanding of the role of entertainment in driving positive change.
  • Candidate must be willing and able to travel up to 10 - 20% of the time.


Salary

$140,000 to $160,000 annually, commensurate with geography, qualifications and experience.
