About the People & Culture Generalist Role: 

BRIC seeks a People & Culture Generalist to assist with administration for a department that prioritizes an employee-first approach. The People & Culture Generalist will act as an Human Resource Information System (HRIS) administrator, supporting primarily with payroll processing and general departmental administration. 


What You’ll Do in the Role:

The People & Culture Generalist will be responsible for the following in addition to any other duties as assigned by their supervisor, the Associate Director of People & Culture:

  • Oversee the bi-weekly closure of time and attendance. Review and verify timecards to ensure completion, accuracy, supervisor approvals. 
  • Work with the Associate Director of People & Culture to make payroll adjustments in the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) ensuring accuracy and detailed record keeping of adjustments. 
  • Manage all personnel files as they relate to compliance and up-to-date record keeping.  
  • Address payroll-related inquiries from employees, responding promptly to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Support with updates to the HRIS, acting as point of contact for HRIS to resolve issues and payroll related questions. 
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on employee data through ADP. 
  • Support department to plan and execute bi-weekly all staff gatherings and meetings. 
  • Oversee updates to People & Culture documents on internal staff intranet. 
  • Maintain all updates to internal employee documents including staff facebook and org chart. 
  • Oversee scheduling and planning for employee onboarding and offboarding. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Technological acumen: Requirements for this role include a strong command of ADP and a minimum of 1 year of experience working with payroll and benefits. This position provides an excellent opportunity to enhance existing Human Resource skills. While prior experience is valued, candidates with exceptional problem-solving abilities can compensate for limited experience.

  • Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is $45,000 - $50,000. 
  • Status and location: This is a full-time, exempt role based in our Brooklyn office.
