The Opportunity:
As OPB looks to deepen its connection to communities across Oregon & Southwest Washington, it also seeks to grow its creative and dynamic audience engagement team. The Engagement & Events Coordinator is an individual who will work to support the Engagement & Events team, as well as fostering cross-departmental and partnership relationships to develop exciting, thoughtful, and high-quality events related to OPB's content. Position Summary:
The Engagement & Events Coordinator is an organized, enthusiastic professional who will play a crucial role on OPB’s engagement initiatives team. They will be responsible for supporting the execution of our engagement initiatives, partnerships, and events with systems for project management, excellent communication, team coordination, and logistical support. This role will work directly with the Senior Event & Partnership Associate and Director of Strategic Engagement & Events to support documentation and operations, organization, project management, and day-of support for OPB’s engagement initiatives.
The Engagement & Events Coordinator will be an organization and planning expert, able to facilitate collaboration involving multiple teams, and able to balance multiple project timelines simultaneously. Other tasks include supporting organizing meetings, coordinating with vendors, managing tickets for events, and communicating with partners throughout a project timeline. They will support OPB’s event outreach efforts and report feedback, and will support the Senior Event & Partnership Associate in preparing for upcoming events, including drafting agreements and contracts, and working directly with OPB’s legal and accounting teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
They will work closely with the Director of Strategic Engagement & Events to manage the team’s portfolio of partners and relationships to further OPB’s strategic engagement vision in partnership with the community connections team, putting our audiences at the core of how and why we do our work. The ideal candidate understands the importance of organization and operationalization to move with ease through work. They will have the opportunity to directly influence and shape our team’s systems for efficiency and impact.
