Summary
Art in Tanzania is a self-sustainable non-profit charity NGO. We look forward to developing the community development work using artificial intelligence.
Details
Art in Tanzania has been operating since 1996. Our community placements attract about 250 participants annually. Our vision is to give students hands-on experience working in developing African communities. In addition to your studies, you will have an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience of African culture and life, as well as fantastic natural scenery and wildlife.
Our community-based programs empower local communities and individuals to thrive and succeed.
Interns experience daily life in Tanzania while witnessing the growth of one of Africa's fastest-growing economies.
The AI program is to help the NGO with social media posting and digital marketing. Our social media is used to advocate for the Tanzanian public. At the same time, this visibility is a valuable marketing tool, as more students and volunteers can see what is happening.
AI in Tanzania is a new tool. We seek interns to train our NGO team on how to utilise it in their everyday community work tasks.
Your tasks also include training on AI use in the schools and Tanzanian companies.
Academic-level team leaders supervise your internship daily. We also monitor your progress in the study program using a weekly plan and a reporting system to ensure your work is on track.
The internship outcome is learning to use and gaining experience to implement your education in developing country conditions with limited capacity.
Interns work in teams of international students and volunteer professionals to better understand the opportunities in a fast-growing economy.
Work hours are 6 to 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday.
The program is ongoing, so the start dates are adjustable. Your placement is tailored to your background, experience, and interests, empowering our daily work with the communities.
Daily tasks include practical fieldwork, planning, reporting, and visibility work.
The start and end dates are flexible, as all programs are ongoing, with many having run since 1996.
You and your visiting friends can enjoy low-cost, sustainable safaris and tours.
We typically have 15-40 students from diverse parts of the world, representing over 400 universities with which we collaborate, as well as various professions.
