Muscular Dystrophy Association of Cameroon

Muscular Dystrophy Association of Cameroon abridged as MDA Cameroon is an Association formed under the umbrella of ACOHOF to give special importance to muscular dystrophy and other rare diseases. MDA Cameroon is an association of parents and children who are either suffering from muscular dystrophy, other rare diseases or are care givers. The Mission of Muscular Dystrophy Association of Cameroon is to give a smile to these children. We take care of the muscular dystrophy patients, those suffering from other rare diseases and the affected persons by carrying out door to door campaigns, massive and extensive campaigns aimed at creating awareness of these diseases which unfortunately are so little known in Cameroon in particular and Africa in general. Our main objective is to let everyone in our community to learn about these diseases and know how they affect our children, and for the children already diagnosed with the diseases, to seek available funds and donations either as equipments or financial aid so as to offer these children a good health care, good education, wheel chairs, games and other attractions that can make them happy and feel that they too are valuable sons and daughters of the society and that their hopes are not lost.
