Missão
Friends in the City Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide youth mentoring and educational resources that impact urban communities.
We will accomplish our mission through the vision of encouraging a growth mindset, enhancing our outreach, empowering the youth, embracing diversity and expanding our network.
Sobre Nós
Mentoring Program
Our Beauty Boot Camp (BBC) Program, serves as a mentoring and support program that provides Social snd Emotional skills to young ladies between the ages of 11 and 18. BBC offers confidential, compassionate, and educational group support.
Scholarship/Grant Program
We offer two scholarships to youth and young adults across the city.
Opportunity Scholarship: for gradating high school students.
Albert G. Gilbert, Jr. Grant: anyone that was formerly incarcerated can take advantage of this grant for school or a business.
New School Venture
We are in preparation of designing Chicago's first STEM Elementary Charter School.
