  • Sobre Nós

The Curricular Resource Center staff are a part of the College's Curriculum team. The Curriculum team supports faculty, students, and staff in the development and administration of Brown University's Open Curriculum and its undergraduate curricular offerings, ensuring that its curricular and co-curricular programs – particularly high-impact educational practices – are inclusive and accessible to all Brown students, especially those who have been historically underrepresented or underserved within higher education.

Established in 1976, the Curricular Resource Center (CRC) is a community of peer and full-time advisors-mentors-educators who support student engagement with academics and the Brown curriculum. We offer drop-in hours and a range of programming designed to help students connect to and utilize Brown's academic resources. The collective goal is to help students feel a sense of agency in making decisions and see the realm of possibilities for their college experience. CRC full-time staff, student program coordinators, and student program volunteer mentors/leaders facilitate information sessions, community-building events, and individual meetings for advising about navigating and accessing the Open Curriculum, finding and fostering academic communities, and seeing pathways for deep engagement with the learning process and high-impact learning opportunities. CRC staff collaborate with various campus groups, centers, and educators to provide the best advice about Brown's academic resources and opportunities for learning and growth.
