Environmental Protection Information Centre

EPIC is a nongovernmental and nonprofit making organization. It was established in 1998 to address environmental issues in the region. It is registered by the national board of NGOs as a charity organization. EPIC is governed by its general assembly which elects among themselves a board of directors. The board is the sole policy making body of the organization. The board appoints a coordinator who heads the secretariat the technical arm of the organization. Its mission is to ensure availability of easy to use, equitable and ground based information and data on environmental protection and related issues. EPIC operates in partnership with other information centers, local and international NGOs and international development agencies. It works with the grassroots in environmentally degraded hot spots through training sensitization, project planning, design and implementation.
