The GRN is an action oriented environmental network committed to uniting and empowering people to protect and restore the resources of the Gulf of Mexico Region. The GRN works to reveal the regional significance of local environmental destruction, providing training to build the strength of communities, and pressing state and federal agencies to protect the Gulf's natural resources. Over the past few years, issues which have been the focus of GRN efforts included our work to halt the development of liquefied natural gas terminals off-shore that jeopardize Gulf fish populations, litigation to obtain changes in the management of red snapper, or our efforts to pressure states to adopt strong state water quality standards.
