The Ethan Allen Homestead and Museum works to maintain the 1787 home of Ethan and Fanny Allen. Our main building, a converted 1940's barn, serves as an educational center, gallery for exhibits, gift shop, tavern and theatre, and classroom space. We offer tours from 10-3:30, Thursday through Monday, mid-May through October. Bus tours, school groups, and single travelers are all welcome to come join us for a tour of the grounds and homestead. We also host "living history' demonstrations, a lecture series, reenactments, and other special events throughout the year. We are privately funded, relying upon support from our members and the contriubtions our guests and patrons offer. We are looking to build upon our base of volunteer tour guides/docents and gift shop greeters as a means of sustaining our operations through this season and into the next!
