The Education Alliance was established in 1983 by business executives who saw the importance of supporting public schools and giving the business community a voice in education. One of the Alliance’s strategic focus areas is to build collaborative partnerships and alliances between public schools with local, regional and state level West Virginia businesses. The summer internship program allows the Alliance to fill a niche that connects business directly with students in a meaningful way that benefits the student, the business partner, and helps build the state’s human capital.
