History: The Greater Mondawmin Coordinating Council, Inc. (GMCC) was incorporated in 1976 by residents to create an umbrella organization representing the community associations and block clubs clustered around the Mondawmin Mall. Reincorporated in 2000, GMCC represents eight active, affiliated neighborhood organizations in West Baltimore.
Mission: GMCC’s mission is to build communities by providing service and advocacy for improved literacy, housing, educational, recreational, workforce, and cultural opportunities for people who live and work within its geographic boundaries. We envision a healthy, safe, and clean community of empowered businesses, faith-based organizations, homeowners, and schools.
