Houston Ultimate Community

Houston Ultimate Community (HUC) has been a part of the Houston amateur Ultimate Frisbee scene since 2002, becoming an official organization in 2003. 100% volunteer run, HUC is focused on creating safe, welcoming opportunities for new and old players alike to enjoy the game and on building an alternative sport experience for youth. HUC volunteers support all aspects of the organization's operations from administrative duties, communications, outreach, relationship management to coaching, running events and representing HUC on the national stage.

We support elementary schools through Universities in the Houston area to establish and run their Ultimate clubs or programs.

We run tournaments and special events for fun and to raise funds for local organizations.

We train adults to be youth coaches for the sport and partner with schools to share the sport with students to encourage the pursue a lifetime of healthy physical activity.

We offer several events and programs, some that are the longest running of their kind in the US - beach tournaments, charity tournaments, leagues and pick-up games.

We provide a platform for teams and clubs to recruit new players, socialize and build opportunities for women and players of color to feel welcomed.

We host national championship series events sanctioned by the USA Ultimate governing body of Ultimate Frisbee.

Volunteers can engage with HUC in officer and board positions, event volunteers, outreach (communications and relationship development) roles and more!
