Peace Museum Colorado

Peace Museum Colorado and Peace Museum Vienna are dedicated to researching and promoting stories of peace activism in Colorado, Vienna and the world. The two peace museums combine each into Peace Hero Museums as well in collaboration with Peace Museum Nepal, Peace Museum Paris, Peace Museum Romanie and the upcoming Peace Heroes Museum in New York.

Our museum is a non-profit organization. We aim to motivate and activate you by sharing and diving into the lives of our peace heroes and asking ourselves.

We exist out of a team with members from all across the globe who share a passion about peace.

Our Mission

We aim to educate our audience through the lives of our peace heroes. Many people both in the past and present day have shown great courage and selflessness to make the world a more peaceful place. We want to show you that making peace isn’t about ending world conflict or war. Creating peace starts today with how we respect and treat each other. Our question now is: What will you do for peace?

As an educational organization, Peace Museum’s volunteer contributors research individuals, collectives, organizations and institutions in Colorado and around the world that have taken courageous actions to create a Culture of Peace. Such individuals are identified, researched and awarded the designation of “Peace Hero” by Colorado Peace Museum. Collectives of individuals who have, combined, worked to create a culture of peace or resist violence and injustice are likewise recognized with a “Peacemaker Award.” Organizations leading their field in taking progressive actions to promote a Culture of Peace are recognized by Colorado Peace Museum with a “Peace Ally Award.”

We are looking for volunteers to help manage the museums, social media experts, filming production, and also for students to gain their credits from their university through the umbrella of Peace Museums Worldwide. 

Some of our internships offer a free board of stay only in Colorado, USA. For Vienna interns, there is an amazing office space next to Mozart's house just behind the main square of Vienna. We are also offering office space at the Peace Museum Paris, Nepal as well.
