Uplift is a mobile street outreach serving our neighbors who are homeless.
Three nights a week, four Sprinter vans head out with food, clothing, hygiene items, and other essentials.
We meet people where they are: under bridges, near parks, at camps.
Rain or shine, we never miss a night; serving 350–450 people with dignity, care, and compassion.
To stay true to our mission and calling, and to keep our compassion personal and unencumbered, we operate without government funding.
We operate on a community support model: everything we share comes from the hands and hearts of others.
Our work is led by volunteers and we don’t buy the food or clothing we give.
It’s donated, recovered, sorted, packed, and delivered by thousands of volunteers and hundreds of partner organizations.
Each year, we serve over 50,000 meals and provide nearly $3 million in essentials - all for a fraction of that in operating costs.
Founded in 1990, Uplift has grown from a few friends in a car to a citywide network anchored in an 18,000-square-foot warehouse.
We’re not affiliated with any particular church or denomination, but we believe in something radical: unconditional love, consistent presence, and a community where everyone matters.
All are welcome. All are worthy.
These are our neighbors. This is our community.
We welcome all people of good will to join us in this work!
Join us - by sharing, serving, and giving.
