Zaytuna College

Zaytuna College aims to educate and prepare morally committed professional, intellectual, and spiritual leaders, who are grounded in the Islamic scholarly tradition and conversant with the cultural currents and critical ideas shaping modern society.

Zaytuna College was founded in 2009 to restore broad-based and pluralistic scholarship to its proper place as a central priority of Muslims.

Zaytuna College is a venture of Zaytuna Institute, a non-profit educational organization established in 1996. During its early years in the San Francisco Bay Area, Zaytuna rapidly established a national reputation for providing premier educational programs, publications, and audio and visual materials for the local and national Muslim community.

The Institute is currently making a transition to Zaytuna College, the first fully-accredited American Muslim institution of higher education in the United States. Zaytuna College plans to admit its first freshman class in Fall 2010.
