Founded in 2010, the European Grassroots Antiracist Movement – EGAM
assembles and coordinates the actions of several hundreds of NGOs engaged in
the fight against racism, antisemitism, discrimination, genocide denial, and
for equality, liberty, and democracy in more than 30 European countries.
In the
context of rising and increasing radical acts of racism and anti-Semitism, the
growing influence of identity ideologies, and the weakening of democratic civil
society, EGAM aims to structure, shape, reinforce and mobilize European civil
society via:
Coordinated grassroots campaigns
in all European countries,
Campaigns to influence political
and institutional figures on a local, national, European, and international
level,
Meetings,
conferences, and training seminars with leaders of civil society.
