Conservation Volunteers Northern Ireland (CVNI) is part of BTCV, a registered charity which exists to protect and improve the environment, predominantly through a partnership of the practical efforts of its many thousands of volunteers and the activities of its staff. CVNI brings people together to carry out a wide range of practical conservation projects. CVNI's work goes on throughout the year. The kind of work CVNI supports includes; planting thousands of trees; improving city eye-sores; creating nature gardens; rebuilding dry-stone walls and restoring stagnant ponds. All this work is carried out by volunteers, tackling many jobs that would otherwise just not get done!
