Be A Champion

Who We Are

Be A Champion, Inc. was founded in 2001 (formerly as All-N-One) as a way of reaching out to under-privileged youth in the Houston area through sports, education, and nutrition programs.

Be A Champion, Inc. was started by two former offensive linemen for the University of Houston, Jaron K. Barganier and James Hong. Barganier and Hong both felt that athletes should be positive role models for young people and wanted to provide a program to help facilitate a way for athletes to give back.

Our Mission

The mission of Be A Champion, Inc. is to use sports, education, and nutrition programs to enhance the development of our youth regardless of age, race, gender, religion, or creed. We hope that by doing so, our program will improve society as a whole, giving young people a chance at a better future.

What We Offer

Be A Champion, Inc. meets students where they are. Whether it's in the classroom or at ta collegiate sporting event, we are here to empower youth to strive for excellence.

Champion Fuel

The Champion Fuel Food Program provides the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) to tens of thousands of children across the state of Texas daily. These programs are designed to provide nutritious snacks, meals, and milk to students participating in enrichment programs. At-risk CACFP snacks and meals can be served if at least 50% of your school location is approved for free and reduced lunch for all youth 1 to 18 years of age. Schools, community centers, daycare centers, apartments, and churches are all qualified locations of service.

Educational Services

Be A Champion, Inc. has partnered with over 200 schools since 2001. Throughout the years, we have seen the need for substitutes, tutors, support staff, and enrichment activities increase. Be A Champion has always answered the call and worked closely with districts to offer support they need. Our mission is to provide necessary resources so that staff can focus on their jobs and students can succeed in the classroom and beyond.

Our in-school and afterschool programs are uniquely catered to the needs of students throughout the state. Our close partnerships with school districts have allowed us to expand programs within the community for over 20 years. We are currently operating educational services in five regions in Texas and look forward to continuing to serve staff, administrators, and most importantly, students in the state.
