Founded in 1995, Human Dimensions International (HDI-Cameroon) is a community based organisation with three main objectives: 1) to support local, government and global efforts aimed at protecting the environment; 2) to assist rural populations, especially poor women and youth, to establish community based structures and frameworks and empower them to fend for themselves in a sustainable manner; and 3) to train, raise awareness and sensitise community members including women, youth, traditional leaders/chiefs, law enforcement officials on human rights, rule of law, access to justice and good governance in line with local, regional and international standards.
