DemocraShe

DemocraShe is a nonprofit non-partisan training program empowering intersectional female-identifying high school students to become leaders and future elected officials, building a robust and diverse pipeline of transformational female leaders from historically underserved populations.

The “DemocraSheroes” (grades 9-12) participate in online, project-based workshops to help them find their unique voice and chart their own path towards being social justice warriors and future elected officials. Critically, we develop not just the public policy skills to feel confident in the political sphere, but the social work skills to address social, economic and cultural barriers and age-old narratives that tell young women they don’t belong there.
