    Salesforce Administration Internship

Dear Applicant, are you looking to gain hands-on salesforce experience?

Come be a part of our Salesforce Administration internship team. This unpaid internship is aimed at providing hands-on experience in managing and optimizing Salesforce CRM for a non-profit organization. This role will delve into the administrative functions of Salesforce, focusing on user management, data integrity, and process automation. Interns will gain valuable insights into how CRMs drive efficiency and support fundraising and engagement efforts within a cultural non-profit setting. Experience with Salesforce reporting and dashboard creation is a plus. Our interns receive free access to all YAAANA and Yiddishland California events and classes as well as to the YAAANA and Yiddishland California archives. Internships are unpaid, but can be taken for college credit. We offer remote internships.

    Key Responsibilities and Duties

    1. User and Security Management: Assist with managing user accounts, profiles, and permissions within Salesforce to ensure data security and appropriate access levels.

    2. Data Cleansing and Acquisition: Analyze existing data within Salesforce, identify inconsistencies, and implement data cleansing strategies to improve data quality and accuracy, and identify key data sources to optimize, foster and build strategic partnerships with investors, donors, artists and other nonprofits that align with Yiddishland’s mission, vision and objectives.

    3. Team coordination and management: Propose a suitable Salesforce workflow to coordinate, supervise and support Yiddishland’s staff members, including interns, volunteers, teachers and board members.

    4. Process Automation: Explore and document current workflows within Salesforce. Propose and potentially implement automation solutions using Salesforce tools (e.g., Process Builder, Flow) to streamline tasks and improve efficiency.

    5. Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to fundraising, membership, and program participation.

    Work Experience & Skills

    1) Familiarity with the Salesforce platform and its core functionalities (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Nonprofit Success Pack).

    2) Understanding of database concepts and data management principles.

    3) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    4) Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

    5) Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Learning Objectives

    1) Interns will gain practical experience in Salesforce administration, including user management, data cleansing, and process automation.

    2) Interns will develop a deep understanding of how non-profit organizations utilize Salesforce to manage their operations and achieve their goals.

    3) Interns will enhance their analytical and reporting skills by working with real-world data in Salesforce.

    4) Interns will gain familiarity with secular Jewish culture and the Yiddish language.

    Estimated Duration

Full-time: preferably 8, minimum 6-week engagement with a minimum commitment of 40 hours per week.

Part-time: preferably 16, minimum 12 week engagement with a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week.

Longer internships with a less demanding time commitment are available upon request. If an intern wishes to receive academic credit for the internship, it is their responsibility to check with their academic institution for approval prior to beginning the position.
