Would you like to make a difference right here in MetroWest by supporting access for patients to health care?
The MetroWest Free Medical Program is seeking interpreters to support our volunteer physicians and nurses with translation during free medical appointments.
The majority of our patients are Brazilian immigrants or Brazilian citizens and speak Portuguese as their primary language.
We are looking for volunteer medical interpreters who are bilingual in English/Spanish and/or English/Portuguese.
Lived experience is highly valuable.
Our clinics are held Tuesday and Thursday evenings in Marlborough from 5:30 - 9:00 p.m. Our Adult Medicine Clinic is Tuesdays and our Women’s Health Clinic is Thursdays.
We hold a vision clinic once a month on Mondays in Sudbury.
We seek individuals who are willing to volunteer. We also welcome consultants; the
current rate per evening clinic for paid consultants is $40/clinic.
