Would you like to use your language teaching skills to help build a global culture of peace while seeing the world simultaneously?

Applications for the upcoming 119th Global Voyage are now open!

The Global English/Español Training Programme is Peace Boat's English and Spanish school. On our voyages, this program is run by international teams of passionate volunteer teachers who inspire our students to use language to connect with people worldwide.

Peace Boat's language training program, GET, is now accepting applications for English and Spanish language teachers for the 119th Global Voyage, which departs from Yokohama, Japan, on December 10, 2024, and returns 96 days later to Yokohama on March 15, 2025. Highlights will include cruising around Antarctica and visiting Madagascar, Rio de Janeiro, and Easter Island. Applications will remain open through August 16, 2024, close of business JST. Interviews will be conducted online from August 26th-30th JST. If you want more information, you can download our application pack or email us.http://peaceboat.org/english/volunteer/GET-volunteer

Do you know what's involved?

Peace Boat's onboard language program, GET (Global English/Español Training), is a communication-based program that aims to improve students' confidence and communicative ability in English and/or Spanish through a dynamic combination of onboard classwork, language-based events and activities, and exchange programs in ports of call. Through GET, Peace Boat participants can acquire the necessary language skills to make their voyage as memorable and meaningful as possible. For teachers, the program offers the opportunity to work with a great deal of autonomy, using their creativity both in and out of the classroom while enjoying the unique Peace Boat experience.
